Key Alliance Trade Training Centre

Trade and other VET course options available for Nepean and Blue Mountains Independent Schools

Independent Schools from the Nepean, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions form the KEY Alliance to provide a Trade Training Centre offering students at Independent Schools access to trade and other vocational education courses as part of their Higher School Certificate.

Current Alliance Schools are: Penrith Christian School, Wycliffe Christian School, St Paul’s Grammar School, Nepean Christian School, The Lakes Christian College, Kuyper Christian School and Norwest Christian College.

The trade and other vocational education courses offer, upon completion of required units of competency, a Statement of Attainment towards Certificate II and/or Certificate III level courses.

Students enrolled in an Alliance School, or another local Independent School, may access courses in 'block delivery' mode, usually on Tuesday afternoons for Year 12 students and Thursday afternoons for Year 11 students; and generally without interruption to other HSC studies.

Transport to Delivery Schools is provided by each Home School for both their Year 11 and Year 12 students. All students arrange their own transport home from their Delivery School.
