We are seeking a passionate and suitably qualified Mathematics teacher to join our supportive faculty team commencing January 2027. The successful candidate will share our commitment to creating engaging, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences for students, informed by a Biblical worldview and aligned with our Great Learning, Well People framework.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Design and deliver learning experiences that cater to the physical, social, and cognitive needs of students
- Foster a safe and engaging learning environment by implementing proactive and effective practices that support student wellbeing
- Demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills, including delivering effective assessment and learning programs, maintaining accurate records, and using relevant data to inform practice within established timeframes
- Apply pedagogical expertise and demonstrate a strong understanding of how students learn, using this knowledge to enrich engagement, understanding, and academic growth in Mathematics
- Model creativity, initiative, and collaborative practice within and beyond the school community
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students and their families regarding progress, achievements and engagement with learning.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Principal or delegate
About You
With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Biblical worldview into student learning experiences and our community. Along with NESA accreditation and a current Working with Children Check number, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A personal teaching philosophy that includes a strong commitment to Christian education
- That you are a committed Christian, actively involved in your local church
- A strong desire to facilitate a love of learning in your students through collaborative, innovative and effective practice
- A commitment to excellence and a thorough understanding of relevant syllabuses
- A desire to work as part of an effective and collegial staff team
- Experience in Stage 6 course is desirable, though not essential. New graduates are still encouraged to apply
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
- A commitment to child safety and policy adherence
- Proficient ICT skills across a range of platforms
- A willingness to support the strong pastoral care, wellbeing and community programs of the school, including camps, sport, academic and other cultural events
- Current qualifications and the right to work in Australia
