Education Support Assistant (Teacher's Aide)

Qualified Education Support Assistant opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and collaborative person to join our Learning Enrichment team in 2026. The successful candidate will be a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church.

As an Education Support Assistant, you will provide support to students with learning needs or disabilities through the school’s general or targeted learning and wellbeing programs. As part of this role, you will:

  • Liaise directly with Learning Enrichment and classroom teachers to provide support
  • Collaborate with your team and supervisor to implement Individual and other plans, providing feedback to support learning and the achievement of goals
  • Be organised, maintain excellent records, and be competent in the use of technology to support your work
  • Be familiar with literacy, numeracy and behavioural support strategies
  • Participate in collaborative meetings and professional learning
  • Promote a positive student learning and staff culture.

About You

Along with a current Working with Children Check, you will:

  • Have a warm, caring and patient nature, a deep empathy for students with individual needs and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Possess relevant educational qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Education Support or similar qualification
  • Ideally have experience in a K-12 school setting, or with particular year groups
  • Have a positive and proactive attitude, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Be reliable, flexible, responsible and professional in conduct
  • Fulfil duties for playground and other supervision as allocated.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding student data and records.

This is a permanent role beginning in January 2026 or by negotiation. Due to the nature of this role, you will only be required to work during school terms and staff development weeks. Your hours will be 7.55am to 2:55pm Monday to Friday.
