Sport is an important part of the lives of our students and promotes an active lifestyle, social interaction, and a strong sense of sportsmanship and fair play. Penrith Christian School is a member of the Christian Schools Sports Association (CSSA) and Combined Independent Schools (CIS) as well as participating in the Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA). This program usually occurs between one and three days per week for an hour. The government funding allows for a person to be paid to run the activities as well as purchasing sports equipment for the school.
Leisure and more recreational sport options are available for those students who like to participate in a social non-competitive environment. PCS offers a variety of sports which are cycled through as sport options during the school year. Some of these sports are held offsite and have associated venue costings.
Sport conducted on school premises generally doesn’t attract additional fees, however sport conducted offsite such as Tennis, Rock Climbing, Skating, Gym, etc., will incur an additional charge to cover bus and entry fee or any other costs to the school. Sport choices and associated costs will be advertised in our newsletter prior to the start of each sport term. Please discuss sport choices with your child/children before they make their selection.
