Junior School Awards

Students are rewarded in a variety of ways and at different ‘levels’. In class, teachers utilise a variety of awards which are designed to recognise effort, behaviour, achievement, thoughtfulness and improvement.

 

Junior School also presents awards for reaching Reading goals, and each week presents certificates for:

P – Personal Learning

C – Christian Character, and

S – Service

to students in each class Kindy to Year 4.

 

The Junior School Presentation Ceremony is a culmination event where awards are given for student Achievement, Effort and/or Improvement in the KLAs, as well as a number of character-based and sporting awards:

 

Personal Learning Award

One individual in each class who consistently achieved highly in most Key Learning Areas.

 

Christian Character and Service Award

One individual in each class who has most consistently displayed the ‘Fruit of The Spirit’ (Galatians 5:22-23) in their everyday lives.

 

Science and Technology Award

One individual who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) Award

One individual who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

Mathematics Award

One individual in each class who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

English Award

One individual in each class who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

Geography Award

One individual who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

History Award

One individual who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

Creative Arts Award

One individual who either consistently achieved highly and/or has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in this Key Learning Area.

 

Encouragement Award

One individual in each class who has consistently maintained maximum effort and/or has demonstrated the greatest improvement in most Key Learning Areas.

 

Pastor’s Award

An individual, or individuals, from Year 4 who most consistently displays Christian character in everyday situations.

 

iCentre Award

One individual from Junior School who has most effectively and appropriately utilised the iCentre, and participated effectively in lessons throughout the year.

 

Barton Award

An individual in Year 2 who most consistently tries hard in every area of life.

 

Stuart Ayres All Rounder Award

One individual from Year 3 in recognition of their consistent effort and achievement across multiple areas such as: academic, arts, social and sporting activities.

 

Excellence in Personal Presentation Award

An individual who consistently wears the school uniform correctly and neatly.

 

Sports Best and Fairest Award

One individual male and female student who most consistently displays ‘sportsmanship’ characteristics such as encourager, positive on-field leader, awareness of the feelings and needs of others, always tries his/her best and consistently plays by the rules, showing due respect to persons in authority when participating in sporting and other physical activities.

 

Sportsperson of the Year

One boy and one girl who has represented the School in a variety of sports and events at the highest level, comparative to others.

 

Leadership Award

An individual from Year 4 who most consistently displays positive leadership qualities.
