Students are expected to abide by the PCS behaviour code which has three main components:

• Work Hard

• Show respect, and

• Be Safe

Students who depart from these behaviours impact on their own and others’ wellbeing and learning at school. All actions have consequences, and where the action is unacceptable, then there sometimes needs to be a contrived consequence imposed in order to teach offending students appropriate ways of behaving. The 'Student Welfare' Policy contains more detail about the foundational principles and procedures. The enforcement of behavioural codes is a learning process for very young students, and consequences are tailored to the age and behaviour profile of individual students. All compliance matters are recorded on the school’s database, and parents are routinely sent an email when this is entered, so that they are aware of their child’s behaviour, and can assist the school in reinforcing the appropriate ways to act.
