All PCS Junior School curricula has Christ at their centre. The six Key Learning Areas mandated by the NSW Board of Studies are taught.
Additionally, students experience specific lessons related to helping them understand the God of the Bible. These include ‘devotional’ times to begin the day as well as a Biblical Studies curriculum in which they systematically examine stories of the Bible and how these ideas apply to themselves.
Children attend weekly Chapel / Assembly in which they experience corporate praise, and each class enjoys an opportunity to present a ‘performance’ that highlights something they had learnt in Biblical Studies that week.
Junior School uses a Biblical Studies program called ‘God Space’, which explores important concepts and principles through examining stories and characters in the Bible. The children have a workbook, as well as a wide variety of multimedia, with ways to engage students at an age-appropriate level. The program takes the. children through the Bible in a three year cycle.
