Year 3 in Term 3
This term, Year 3 have been having lots of fun with Science Day definitely being a highlight. We tried out the ‘Mentos in Coke’ phenomenon. Wow, what an explosion!! We then attempted to create fizzy bottle rockets, which only really resulted in Miss Welsman getting wet.
Students then worked together in groups to create the tallest tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti; so messy, yet so fun!
In Geography we have been learning all about different landforms across the world. We have been studying and learning about how deserts, mountains, and rivers are formed. Our Science topic this term seems to have sparked everyone’s attention. We have been discovering how we obtain day and night and our seasons. Year 3 have been exploring space and how amazing our God is for creating it so magnificently.
This week, students analysed a variety of books and worked in groups discussing how pictures help convey meaning. They then presented their findings to the class in style.
Year 3 have been enjoying working their way through different Bible stories and hearing about the power of God and how much He cares for us and loves us. We are truly blessed to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
