Year 3 Grassheads Incursion

On Thursday 14 March, Year 3 enjoyed creating Grassheads with family and friends in continuation of our learning about living and non-living things. We have been discovering and testing criteria that scientifically makes an object classified as living.

Here is what some students had to say:

  • Anton: All the parents came and it was very good because they were helping us and making our time more enjoyable.

  • Scarlett: It was outside and we got to spend time with our parents and have fun!

  • Emmett: I liked the snacks and the activities that we got to do. I enjoyed all the different things we did.

  • Ashton: It helps us to learn to take care of the environment.

  • Delaine: Now we know how to take care of plants.

  • Lucas H: It was fun, you got snacks and you got to do activities. It is good to watch our Grassheads grow!

  • Coby: We all had a great time with our parents and they got to meet our friends and hang out.

  • Asha: I like how it was fun and we met other parents and it was fun because it actually worked!

  • Lily: It was interesting that we tried sand instead of soil.

  • Olive: I liked how we got to be creative and responsible.

Thank you for all who came and made our afternoon enjoyable!
