This last semester, Year 5 students have certainly settled down into a routine in Middle School and we are all thoroughly enjoying our time together as we reflect back on what we’ve learned and where we’ve been.
We visited Mr Pickworth’s Farm to feed the animals, drench sheep, go on tractor rides, throw boomerangs, eat a yummy sausage sizzle and generally enjoy being outdoors learning about farming and what happens on a farm daily. A lot of hard work is what happens.
We kicked off our Middle School Pastoral Care event with some huge blow up rides in the Sports Centre and lots of bouncing, running and jumping!!
Science was a huge hit as we experimented with chemical changes of Solids, Liquids and Gases.
And finally, we ran and cooled down with an ice-block at the Cross Country carnival and a few of our students made it to the CSSA State Cross Country race held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
Year 5 students have embraced the change from Junior School to Middle School and we are enjoying this journey with them.
