The Victor Chang Award – Imogen Rogers

Congratulations Imogen on receiving the Victor Chang Award for Excellence in Year 11 Science. Imogen placed first in both Year 11 Chemistry and Year 11 Physics in 2020.

The Victor Chang School Science Awards aim to foster and encourage an interest in science among secondary school students, with the goal of promoting careers in STEM as a viable and interesting career path.

Established in 2004, the Victor Chang School Science Awards celebrate young, gifted students, and aim to stimulate growth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subject areas.

This opportunity allows students to receive real life laboratory experience and gain an understanding of what researchers do on a daily basis. It's hoped this shows students how rewarding a career in medical research can be.

Well done Imogen!
