At the beginning of this term, our Studies of Religion class visited the Jewish Museum and the Synagogue to learn about Judaism and its relevance in today’s society.
We met with a Rabbi at the Synagogue who went through the order of their services and showed us the Torah.
After the Synagogue, we visited the Jewish Museum which documents and displays some of the history of the Jewish people in Australia.
Year 11 students were asked to do a project about the relevance of Judaism in today’s society as part of their Assessment tasks. Students created a Judaism Trivia Monopoly game, a children’s story book, a website on the Covenant and there were lots more impressive projects.
