Sports Report – Week 9, Term 2, 2021

This week was the final week for our representative teams. We had three teams play their Grand Final this week.

Congratulations to our Open Girls Soccer who were victorious over Wycliffe Christian School 8-0. The girls will now represent Nepean Zone in the CSSA Soccer Gala Day. Goal Scorers: Belle C, Zara S, Chiara G, Mia J and Maddison.

We were strongly represented in both Netball grand finals. Our U15’s played a hard game against Wycliffe Christian School and finished runners-up in the competition losing 33-15. The girls are to be congratulated for the effort and teamwork they demonstrated, it was a privilege to see them play. Our Open Girls went one better and are now Zone Champions winning 18-9 against Wahroonga Christian School. Congratulations to all team members who have trained hard all term and are deserving winners.

CSSA Netball Gala Day

On Monday 7 June PCS had two netball teams represent the school at the CSSA netball Gala Day. It was a very cold start to the day but the girls managed to push through and produced an excellent performance on court. Both the teams won a number of their round matches, however, did not qualify for the finals against some tough opposition from all over the state. Every student gave their best efforts and showed great sportsmanship on the court. The students should be congratulated on their efforts throughout the whole netball season this term. We are all so proud!
