Sports Report - Week 8, Term 2, 2021

Zone Sport

It has been a busy term for sport and this week was no different with our Zone finals underway. Our teams were strongly represented in a number of semi-finals and finals.

Our Open Girls have qualified straight through to the Grand Final and will play this game next week at Jamison Park, kicking off at 1.30 pm. Parents are welcome to attend to cheer on and support our girls.

Our U15 Boys played a tough game in their Semi-Final against Richard Johnson, the boys went down 2-0 and demonstrated sportsmanship throughout the competition. Well done to all the team and their coach, Jakob Colburn.

PCS Open boys went one better as they played their Grand Final game and won convincingly 4-1 against Wycliffe Christian School. Congratulations to all team members as you are now Zone Champions! Goal scorers were Owen P, Marley P (2) and Josiah D.

PCS U15 teams had one win and one loss in their semi-final matches. Next week, we will see our U15/1 and Open girls, compete to be Zone Champions in their grand final matches. Games start at 1.30 pm at Jamison Park Netball Courts; parents and friends are welcome to come along and cheer on our teams.

Athletics Coaching

We are in the second week of our Athletics Training program. This week, students focused on High Jump. Our coach, Belinda, broke the skill down and students were able to practise a number of specific drills to improve their technique and then practise their jumps.

The students have enjoyed the benefit of this program as they prepare for the upcoming Zone Carnival.
