PCS Students Help With Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal
On Saturday 26 May, a group of PCS students along with Ms Heyne and Mrs Cavanagh, took to the streets in the Penrith area to collect almost $500 on behalf of the Salvation Army for the annual Red Shield Appeal.
The Red Shield Appeal is The Salvation Army's signature fundraising drive which helps fund their vast network of social and community services. Vulnerable Australians rely on these programs every day with services ranging from providing shelter for the homeless, assisting families in crisis through practical support and financial counselling, to guiding people with addictions through to a clean, healthy lifestyle.
Well done to the students for their willingness to serve the community and help bring hope to those around them.
