PCS staff and community on the OxFam Trailwalker

Oxfam Trailwalker is Australia's original team challenge where teams of four walk 100km in less than 48 hours to help end world poverty, funding Oxfam projects across the globe. Mrs Tracey Perrin, Mrs Juliet Hill, Mrs Kirsty Nitsos and Mrs Fiona Doyle (also known as PCS United - a team supported by our school) have made the commitment to do just that in September to tackle poverty feet first. The event is held from Friday 3 September to Sunday 5 September 2021.

This life changing journey is in full swing and involves lots of fundraising and preparation on our part. We have set our goals high and are looking to make a BIG impact. That’s where you can help us out. There are many wonderful opportunities to support this cause but also to get your business name out there through some of our sponsorship options. These include Gold ($1,500 ~), Silver ($1,000 ~) and Bronze ($500) levels with each one offering you the opportunity to have your name on our team shirt, advertisement on PCS United social media pages, listing as sponsors on official Oxfam page and more.

One of our fundraising events that you and your children can participate in is 'Dancing with the Teachers', a high energy Minions Disco Party at Lollipops Penrith on Friday 25 June, 2021 (5.30 pm - 7.30 pm). For more information CLICK HERE, or CLICK HERE to book tickets.

If you thought that the only way to make a difference was by donating money, then we’ve got news for you. There are many different ways that you can give. You can give us your time by being an extra set of hands at one of our fundraising events. We are also in need of a support crew to include a chef, driver, physio and gear manager. We need the same crew from start to finish. So feel free to get in touch with one of our team members directly to express your interest in helping in this way.

We have a Facebook community page as well as a fundraising page (https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/pcs-united ) which lets you know a little bit more about us as individuals but also keeps you posted on our training and fundraising progress as we make our way to the start line in just a few months.

Right now we are at the top of the leaderboard and we want to keep it that way. So let’s continue to show Sydney the heart and spirit of the PCS community and join together to change lives today. Remember every little bit counts.
