Student Leadership roles are an important part of the program at Penrith Christian School as they provide opportunities for students to have a ‘voice’ in what happens throughout the school as well as enabling students to develop their own leadership skills.

Our students are required to help and support events that take place during the day-to-day activities of our school life.

Leaders are chosen to represent the student body in the following ways:

  • Meetings with staff

  • Represent the School at outside functions

  • Be a role model for other students and be respectful of their position

  • Be proactive in playground issues

  • Deliver welcome and thank you speeches to special visitors and guests

  • Greet and welcome special visitors at the school gates and show visitors to the office

  • Represent the students at discussions with the staff or parent groups

  • Take a lead role in morning and Friday Chapel assemblies.

It will be very exciting to see these students develop and grow as the year progresses as they use their gifts to bless and grow Jesus’ Kingdom.  Please SEE BELOW for quotes from our students on what makes a good leader.

Joshua 1:9: Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid; don't get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take."

Head of Junior School

Hi, my name is Blake Robbins. A good leader should be kind, honest, caring and show compassion. A good leader is brave, always standing up for what is right. A good Christian leader shares their love of God and sets a good example for others to follow.

Hi, my name is Luca Saw. I think a student leader should be helpful and kind to his friends and peers. Also a leader should respect staff members and set a good example for others.

Hi, my name is Nicholas Nelson. I think a student leader should set a good example for other students by being kind, loving, helpful and a respectful friend of God. A leader should always put others before themselves.

Hi, my name is Isaac Green. A student leader should be a friendly, honest student who is happy to help others at all times and set a good example.

Hi, my name is Summer Hayes. I think a student leader should put others before themselves and serve others and treat others like family.

Hi, my name is Jion Bae. I think a student leader should be calm, respectful, loving, caring and kind just like Jesus. We should serve others and sacrifice for them like when Jesus sacrificed by dying on the cross for us. Lastly, I think you should think about others first and bless them.

Hi, my name is Chloe-Rose. I think a student leader should be someone who displays Christian character, kindness, respect and the ability to encourage a loving and safe place to learn and play.

Hi, my name is Tyler Shaw. I think a leader should love and serve others as they would serve themselves and God. Consider the needs of others and encourage them to bravely strive to be the best they can be. Support their teachers and fellow students with empathy and a positive attitude.
