International Focus - Uganda and Mexico

This Wednesday 25 August is our International focus on Uganda and Mexico Missions. All students have the optional opportunity to dress up with an African or Mexican style outfit, or wear any bright colours. This will help us think about and pray for Divine Junior School, Uganda’ and Open Arms Mexico. Teachers are encouraging students to write a letter to a friend titled ‘Dear friend,’ and these will be sent electronically to students in Uganda and Mexico.  Please click here for some guidelines for our International focus on Uganda and Mexico Wellbeing Wednesday.

We have been partnering with Divine Junior School Uganda since 2017, having exchanged letters and helped meet some of their many needs. In January 2020, a team of ten students, parents and teachers had the privilege to visit and serve in their school community. Teachers and students at Divine Junior School regularly pray for our school community.

Open Arms, Mexico is a new project that we are supporting in partnership with ImagineNations Church. The main ministry of Open Arms is to keep families together through a nationwide childcare movement. In Mexico, they are battling a global poverty-driven orphan crisis.

A letter of encouragement can be a powerful tool to spark hope and encourage others. If any parent, grandparent, or friend in our school community would like to join students in the Missions challenge you too can write a letter to the staff or teachers in Uganda or Mexico. Please address it ‘Dear staff,’ and email below ... thank you in advance for your prayers and letters for Uganda and Mexico.

Romans 12:12  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

I know there are many families facing many challenges in our community, please reach out to our school, INChurch or other services on the links provided below if that is the case. Together we are stronger and better!

Yours in prayer and service
