CIS Primary State Swimming Championships 2021

Four swimmers from PCS represented our school in the most outstanding fashion at the CIS Primary Swimming Championships - this is the State swimming event for all Independent schools in NSW. And ohhhh what a nail biting day!

Our youngest competitor, Amayah Hill, swam the house down and earned a spot in the 9 Years Girls Final for the 50m Freestyle. She missed a podium finish by a fingernail (.02 of a second!) and placed with a impressive 4th in the CIS final (just missing a spot to PSSA).

Olivia Galea had a stellar meet and is now off to PSSA in the following events:

  • 11 Years Girls 50 m Freestyle - 1st

  • 11 Years Girls 50m Backstroke - 1st

  • Senior Girls 100m Freestyle - 2nd

  • 11 Years Girls 50m Butterfly - 3rd

  • Her Senior 200m Individual Medley result at CSSA qualified her for PSSA.

Tyler Brown and Riley Jackson also both swam so well and represented the school with pride.

PSSA All Schools State is on 31st March and 1st April 2021. This is where all schools (public, Catholic and Independent) come together to battle it out! Olivia will be competing at this event for all the above events - we will keep you posted on her results!

Well done to all our CIS competitors - this is the largest team we have ever sent to CIS Primary Swimming Championships. You are all amazing!

(Thank you to Sam Galea for this wonderful report!)
