WHO WE ARE:

Penrith Christian School is a well-established and vibrant Christian community, providing an exciting and innovative learning environment for over 800 Preschool to Year 12 students, inclusive of an Early Childhood Centre registered for 50 students per day, in our 21st Century Learning Facility at Orchard Hills.

 

Our Early Childhood Centre has an excellent reputation in our community for providing high quality, inclusive education and care. Our Centre is open 48 weeks of the year and operates from 6.30 am to 6.00 pm.

 

THE ROLE:

We are seeking applications for an Early Childhood Trainee Educator who is wanting to complete their Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, while gaining experience on the job.

 

The Early Childhood Trainee Educator will work alongside staff within the Early Childhood Service, assisting them in the daily running of the Service whilst adhering to the National Regulations and the policies, goals and philosophy of the Service and Penrith Christian School.

 

The Early Childhood Trainee Educator must be 18 years old or over and a committed Christian, active in their local church and dedicated to the concept of Christ-centred learning.

 

The role is a full time, Monday to Friday position. The person fulfilling this role will be flexible in their availability; available to work between the hours of 6.30 am and 6.00 pm, and 10-hour shifts if required, within the parameters of the NSW Christian Schools General Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2017-2019 and as per the needs of the Service.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Current Working With Children Check approval number 

  • An active Christian faith and current church involvement

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent personal presentation

  • A demonstrated capacity to work as a team member

  • Highly motivated, reliable and with a flexible attitude

  • Passionate about learning and growing in your skills as an Early Childhood Educator

  • Driver’s Licence
