I would just like to take a moment to express my gratitude towards all the Early Childhood Learning Staff. Thank you to each and everyone who has made Preparatory School such a great beginning for my daughter. As you may know, my daughter has battled cancer since the age of 14 months. Last year was her first year in remission where she got to learn how to walk for more than 10 steps and how to do things that children her age do. Unfortunately she had very minimal contact with other children due to being so immune compromised after 3 years of Chemotherapy and Steroids. For my daughter, going to Prep School is an amazing privileged that we are so thankful for. As parents, to witness her having fun with friends and sharing great stories of things that normal children do is just really unbelievably wonderful. Thank you for making it possible. Thank you for making her feel welcome, safe and cared for. We sincerely appreciate your every effort. Mrs Dawkins, thank you for being such a wonderful teacher to my daughter! She loves you and speaks so fondly of you.
May God Bless you all!
Firstly, thank you Sarah for treating Lily in sick bay today. Here's my conversation with Lily on the way to ballet this afternoon:
Lily: Mum, do you need to go to uni for 3 years to become a 'top office lady'?
Me: No but you need to do some training so you know what to do. Why is that?
Lily: Because that's what I want to be when I grow up... A top office lady.
Me: That's really cool, I think it'd be a great job. Why do you want to be a 'top office lady'?
Lily: Cos they're really nice and they always give you cuddles. I want to be like that too.
Me: That's sweet. Who gave you a cuddle?
Lily: Sarah with the dark hair. Amanda with the blonde hair comes out sometimes and gives cuddles too. They're just always so so nice to me.
I've been meaning to send this for the longest time but keep forgetting. I wanted to email you directly to let you know how amazing I think PCS is. William (in prep) and Henry (in pre-school) settled in so quickly and are SO happy there! The staff are wonderful - Jenny Allen, Emily Learned and Kelly Tonner particularly are excellent but all the staff there have been fabulous.
The gospel focus is great but all the school preparedness lessons have engaged them both. William particularly comes home every day just bubbling with excitement over what they did - I used to pick them up from daycare with both in tears and very clingy. Now they run in circles around me on the way to the car telling me everything that happened and showing me things they've made.
It is so joyful to know my boys are in good hands and I know people must mostly email you when they have a problem so I've wanted to tell you for ages that your staff are fab and the school as a whole is a great Christian family.
All the best and God bless,
I would like to express my admiration and thanks to the Early Learning staff who have made my son's transition to "big school" smooth and enjoyable. We selected PCS after attending a number of open days and it immediately felt right for us, aligning well with our beliefs and the goals we have for our son. We have not been disappointed and have consistently been impressed by the learning opportunities and pastoral care offered by both the teaching staff and wider school community.
I have had the absolute joy of having my daughter grow in the PCS environment for the past 6 years. From the moment we walked in to meet Bruce and Sharon we knew we had made the right decision.
From prep now in year 4, she has grown into a kind and caring young girl, who has a great understanding and love for God in her everyday life. This She would not have if she was not a PCS student.
The classroom environment is so welcoming and a great place for all to grow and learn, and the staff are inviting and nurturing to all.
My biggest love of this school is the numbers are small and manageable and that with these numbers, to see the principal walk thru and say hello to students by name, and see their eyes light up because the principal said hello to them. Or to see Sharon standing at the gate in the morning with a smile and her special stamp greeting them all personally, makes for an amazing day for everyone.
Thank you for an amazing place for my daughter to learn and grow. I am looking forward to see what the future brings,
Hi Sharon. The boys were so excited when the gate was open this morning and our car clock read 8:31am. You were there smiling. As we drove off my Prep boy said, "I love Miss Sharon, she's nice to me." I think greeting the Preps on Monday morning has totally been worth it. (Poor Mr Dempsey isn't loved as much for doing his job of shutting the gate spot on 8:30am hehehe)
A really big thank you to the staff at PCS for Transition Tuesday for 2015. My son had a wonderful day making new friends. He can't wait for next year let alone thenext Transition Tuesday. So much answered prayer.
Hi Sharon. I just want to thank you for all you and Mrs Phillips have done for Elise. The support she received in her transition was touching. The change in her already has been dramatic and hasn't gone unnoticed by our family and friends. Our confident happy girl has returned. She bounces out of school every day chatting about what she has been doing and talking about all her new friends. Adam and I couldn't be happier. So thank you once again for helping her settle in easily.
Good Morning Sharon,
I just wanted to let you know that seeing you at the gate this morning giving out stamps to the kids and being so positive was fantastic. My son Nicholas has been very clingy in the mornings lately and doesn't want to leave mummy so seeing you there this morning and being so positive made the goodbye very easy. Thankyou for your passion at the school and for making it such a wonderful place for my kids to go everyday.
